Our dentists and staff, at Noble Dental, love working with children! When you walk into our practice our friendly staff and trained professionals will be there to greet you with a warm smile. Our staff strives to make your child’s first visit easy and stress-free. As a parent, you might consider making an appointment under normal circumstances to help create a sound and trusting relationship between your child and our staff.
Your child’s first visit:
A child’s first dental visit should occur within six months after the baby's first tooth appears, but no later than the child's first birthday. During the visit, the dentist could show you proper oral hygiene by demonstrating how to clean your child’s teeth, discuss good dietary practices, the importance of fluoride, and even recommend oral products to ensure good and healthy teeth.
From complete checkups to preventative treatments, our staff at Noble Dental understands the importance of getting your child started with good oral care. We can instill good dental habits at an early age. Our dentist will review your child’s medical and dental history, examine their teeth for decay and abnormalities, give their teeth a thorough cleaning, and recommend the use of fluoride or sealant treatments to reduce the risk of gum disease.
At Noble Dental, providing your child with excellent care is our number one priority. Unfortunately, children’s teeth are susceptible to decay, infection, and breakage and sometimes need to be restored back to health. Through improved techniques and modern technology, we are now able to offer more options for restoring a tooth back to its normal shape, appearance, and function. Should your child’s teeth require a restorative treatment, you can rest easy knowing our staff will always discuss with you the available options.
Unfortunately, pediatric dental emergencies sometimes occur. Emergency dental care does not have to mean emergency room care. Active children like to run and play, but that also means they can fall and hurt themselves. Mouth injuries can be a common result of these mishaps, so having some basic knowledge of emergency dental care for kids can help you prevent tooth loss and other problems. Pediatric emergencies are a top priority for us at Noble Dental.
Dental sealants are a quick, easy, and a relatively cheap solution for preventing cavities. They’re quickly becoming the go-to treatment for kids who need extra help in the dental department. Dental sealants is a thin, plastic coating painted on the chewing surfaces of teeth -- usually the back teeth (the premolars and molars) to prevent tooth decay.
Healthy gums and teeth are important to your child's overall health. Once your child has a tooth, your pediatrician may recommend your child receive fluoride treatments to help prevent tooth decay. The number of treatments depends on how likely it is that your child may get a cavity.
