Zoom Teeth Whitening/Opalescence Teeth Whitening:
Zoom is a bleaching process used to lighten discoloration of enamel and dentin. Our dentist will conduct a comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums to ensure proper health, as well as talk with you about your oral hygiene and lifestyle habits to determine if you will benefit from whitening. The Zoom procedure begins by covering the lips and gums and leaving only the teeth exposed. The dentist then applies the Zoom hydrogen peroxide whitening gel, which works together with the Zoom light to penetrate the teeth and break up the stains and discoloration. The entire process takes about 45 minutes. Opalescence gels contain an active whitening ingredient (either carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide) that penetrates your enamel to get to discolored molecules. Oxygen molecules from the whitening agents react with the discolored molecules in your teeth, breaking the bonds that hold them together. The oxygen molecules spread, whitening the entire tooth. As a result, you are left with a brighter, whiter smile.
Porcelain Veneers/Composite Veneers:
Porcelain veneers consist of a collection of several thin ceramic layers, which replace original tooth enamel. To apply a veneer, a very small amount of the original tooth enamel must be removed, usually less than a millimeter. This is essential as it creates room for the porcelain veneer to fit within the mouth and accurately restore natural tooth function while creating an even better appearance than the original tooth. The closest and more conservative approach to porcelain veneers is composite veneers. Composite resin is a tooth-colored filling material that may be used to form dental veneers. Composite veneers can be done in one day and generally correct small cosmetic defects, needing at least two appointments, sometimes three. For teeth that resist whitening, veneers can make even the darkest teeth appear bright white.
Composite bonding is a minimal and non-invasive procedure done at Noble Dental that can improve the look of your teeth. Dental bonding is a great solution for people with small or minor imperfections in what are otherwise healthy teeth. Dental bonding is a relatively simple procedure that is normally completed in one or two visits. For minor corrections, the resin is color matched to your teeth in our office. For major restorations, impressions of the teeth are sent to our dental lab and the actual bonding procedure takes place on the following visit.
